எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த கவிஞர்களில் பாவேந்தர் பாரதிதாசன் தனித்துவமானவர்.

அவரது கவிதைகள் காலத்தால் அழியாதவை.

அவரது தமிழர்க்கு அழைப்பு என்ற கவிதை, இற்றைக்கு 60 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு எழுதப்பட்டது.

ஆனாலும் இன்றைய காலகட்டத்திற்கு மிகவும் பொருத்தமானதும் தேவையானதும் என்பதனால் இங்கு தருகிறேன்.

தமிழரல்லார் என்பதிலும் ஐய முண்டோ?

1978 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பம்பலப்பிட்டி இந்துக்கல்லூரியில் க.பொ.த சாதாரண தர வகுப்பில் கல்வி கற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் வேளையில் மறைந்த சிவகுமாரனின் துண்டுப் பிரசுரங்களை விநியோகிக்கும் தொண்டுடனே எனது முதலாவது அரசியல் பிரவேசம் ஆரம்பமாகியது.

ஆயிரமாயிரம் தமிழ் உயிர்களைப் பலியெடுத்த 1983 ஆம் ஆண்டு இனக்கலவரத்தின் போது, நான் 3 ஆம் வருட குடிசார் பொறியியல் துறை மாணவனாகவும் தமிழ்ச் சங்கத் தலைவராகவும் மொறட்டுவைப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் மேற்கல்வி பயின்று கொண்டிருந்தேன். அச்சமயம் அனைத்து மொறட்டுவைப் பல்கலைக் கழக தமிழ் மாணவர்களையும் சொந்த ஊருக்குப் பாதுகாப்பாக அனுப்பும் பணியை மேற்கொண்டேன்.

அதன் பின் இடம் பெயர்ந்த பட்டதாரித் தமிழ் மாணவர்கள் 'இடம் பெயர்ந்த பட்டதாரித் தமிழ் மாணவர்கள் ஒன்றியம்' என்னும் அமைப்பை உருவாக்கிய போது அதன் தலைவராக நானும், செயலாளராக மறைந்த திரு ந.சிவராமும் (தாரகி) தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டோம். அச்சமயம் எல்லாப் பட்டதாரித்துறைகளும் வடக்கு கிழக்கு பல்கலைக் கழகங்களுக்கு இடமாற்றம் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்று போராடினோம். அவ்வேளை ஜ‌னாதிபதியாயிருந்த திரு ஜெ.ஆர்.ஜெயவர்த்தனா எஙகள் பிரச்சனைகளை கலந்தாலோசிப்பதற்காகக் கொழும்பிற்கு அழைத்தார். அந்தச் ச‌ந்திப்பு பலன் அளிக்காததால் நாங்கள் யாழ்ப்பாணப் ‌பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் சாகும் வரை உண்ணாவிரதத்தை ஆரம்பித்தோம். அந்த நாள் தொடங்கி இலண்டனிற்கு 1995 இல் வரும் வரையும் சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்துடன் என்னை முழுமையாக‌ இணைத்துக் கொண்டேன்.

இலண்டன் மாநகர் வந்ததிலிருந்து தமிழர் வாழ்வை உயர்த்துவதற்காய் பாடுபடும் அமைப்புகளுடன் நான் இணைந்து கொண்டேன். இளைய சமூகத்திற்கு தமிழ் மொழியை‌யும் தமிழ்க் கலாச்சாரத்தையும் ஊட்ட வேண்டும் என்பது எனது நீண்ட நாள் ஆவல். அதை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காய் எனது பணி தமிழ்க் கல்விக்கூடங்களை அமைப்பதில் தொடர்ந்தது. தற்போது ஹிலிங்டன் தமிழ்க் கல்விக்கூடம், பேர்க்சையர் தமிழ்க் கல்விக்கூடம்,லங்கிலி மற்றும் றெடிங் ஆகியவற்றின் தலைமையாசிரியராகக் கடைமை ஆற்றுகின்றேன். உலகம் முழுவதில் உள்ள தமிழ் அறிஞர்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொண்டு புதிய தொழில்நுட்பங்களை தமிழ் கற்பிக்கும் துறையில் புகுத்துவதற்காகவும் பாடுபடுகின்றேன். 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு றெடிங்,பேர்க்சையர் பகுதி தமிழ் மக்கள் 'பேர்க்சையர் தமிழ் அமைப்பு' ஆரம்பித்ததிலிருந்து அதன் தலைவராக இருக்கின்றேன்.

க‌ட‌ந்த‌ 32 வ‌ருட‌ங்க‌ளாக‌ த‌மிழ்ச் ச‌முதாய‌ மேம்பாட்டுட‌ன் பின்னிப் பிணைந்த‌ என் ப‌ணி தமிழ் ஈழத்திற்கான நாடு க‌ட‌ந்த அர‌சாங்கத்துடன் இணைந்து ‌தொடர வேண்டுமென்பதே எனது விருப்பம்.

எனது விண்ணப்பத்திற்கான பிரதான நோக்கங்கள்:‍

1)இல‌ங்கையில் அல்ல‌லுறும் அனைத்து த‌மிழ் ம‌க்க‌ளிற்கும் சாதார‌ண‌ வாழ்வு திரும்ப வழி அமைத்த‌ல்.
2) இல‌ங்கை அர‌சாங்கத்தினால் கைது செய்ய‌ப்ப‌ட்டு சிறையிலிருக்கும் சுதந்திர விடுத‌லைப் போராளிக‌ளை விடுவிக்க‌ப் ப‌ணி செய்த‌ல்.
3) உல‌கிலுள்ள‌ அனைத்து த‌மிழ‌ர்க‌ளையும் ஒன்றாய் இணைத்து ஒரு அமைப்பாக‌ இய‌ங்க வைத்தல்.

My political career started in 1978 distributing Sivakumaran’s leaflets while studying for my GCSE’s at Bampalatiya Hindu College in Colombo. At the time of the 1983 riots which destroyed the lives of thousands of Tamils I was the president of the Tamil Sangam at Moratuwa University where I was an undergraduate in the field of Civil Engineering. At that time I took the responsibility of caring for all the Tamil students at Moratuwa University ensuring their safe return back to the Tamil Homeland.

Subsequently all the displaced Tamil undergraduates in Jaffna formed a union called the Displaced Tamil Undergraduates Union (DTUU) with myself as president and Mr N Sivaram (Tharaki) as secretary. We campaigned on behalf of all the Tamil undergraduates to bring all the faculties to the north and east universities. After the formation of the DTUU we were invited to Colombo by J R Jeyawardena the president at that time to discuss our problems. Due to his refusal to transfer all the Tamil undergraduates to the north and the east we started a fast-unto-death on the premises of Jaffna University. It was from that day on that I dedicated myself completely to the freedom struggle until I moved to London in 1995.

In London I worked closely with associations that have a real interest in improving the lives of the Tamils. As well as this I am extremely interested in promoting the Tamil language and culture to our younger generation. Consequently I was thoroughly involved in the Tamil schools in London. Currently I am the Headteacher of Hillingdon Kalvikoodam and Berkshire Kalvikoodam (which includes Reading & Langley). I also work closely with other Tamil scholars around the world to improve the teaching techniques using new technology. In 2009 all the Tamils who live in Berkshire formed the Berkshire Tamil Forum and I am still the president. For the past 32 years I have been working for the Tamil community and so through the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) I wish to continue working for the Tamil cause for the rest of my life.

MY MAIN PRIORITIES

1) To bring back normality to the lives of all the suffering Tamil people in Sri Lanka.

2) To free our freedom fighters from the immoral imprisonment enforced upon them by the government of Sri Lanka.

3) To unite Tamils from all parts of the world allowing them to act together as one.

I am standing as a candidate for the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam representing the South West region of London which includes the postcodes CR, KT, SM, SW & TW.

The TGTE Elections are taking place on Sunday 2nd May so head down to your nearest polling station and vote for me as I promise to unite Tamils from all four corners of the world.

MY MAIN PRIORITIES

1) To bring back normality to the lives of all the suffering Tamil people in Sri Lanka.

2) To free our freedom fighters from the immoral imprisonment enforced upon them by the government of Sri Lanka.

3) To unite Tamils from all parts of the world allowing them to act together as one.
